That trip sounds awesome!

I've been doing some after-dark hikes to the various falls in the Gorge.
Yes, you need to be careful of drop-offs, but there is an enormous power in standing behind a huge crashing falls in the dark, knowing no-one else is around, just listening to the ever-shifting sounds of the water. Since most of the hikes are an easy in-and-out, you can do a whole trip in just a couple of hours before bedtime.

Good flashlight is absolute requirement, and we've heard of some cars being vandalized in the eastern gorge lately, but haven't seen that ourselves...
